A TENNER!??!?! I have to take my bird out for a 3 course meal for that sort of treatment. 3 course meal: £80 min.

Its tragic,how desperate must those poor girls be,especially to offer unprotected sex as well.Drugs are probable to blame. Perhaps brothels should be legalised, then at least there could be some controls.

I rweally dont see how you can say you feel sorry for them, if they wernt working in brothels, they would be working from home anyway. Most of them are working to pay debts off or to feed a drug addiction. A site on the net called adultwork.com and you can see all the so called 'escorts' that are operating in the area, it actually shocked and appaled me...

Legalise brothels? No wonder this country is in the state it is!shut the damned places down - most are run by criminals anyway. Make curb crawling more of an offence - name and shame the drivers and prosecute the prostitutes. Surel they can get better jobs than what theya re doing? It's about time we cleaned up this country and made it a decent place for kids to grow up it. I suppose the News Shopper is another local rag that takes money from these people for their adverts - that makes them guilty as well if that is the case!

Make brothels legal and you can monitor the girls health, protect them from dangerous client and recover some revenue at the same time. carry on ignoring the need for this and nothing will change? Girls will continue to sell themselves for money, and because their so vulnerable put themselves in danger of disease or harm.

It's been going on for a long, long time - it's not a new thing and it has nothing to do with whatever state you think this country might be in now. All the time there is demand then there will be supply. You're not going to stop it. Why not legalise brothels? A lot of other countries do it and it removes many of the problems.

Sarah Why are you looking at these sites in the first place? When you log on they ask if your over eighteen and explain the content of the site. So you shouldn't have looked unless your curious? And why are you looking for friends on there?

Legal brothels would get these girls off the streets, they will be looked after (and not by some nasty pimp but a proper Madam) be safer and healthier.

Sarah, if you're so shocked by that website then you are either naive to what's out there on the web or you're very easily offended. Sites like that could be banned. Prostitution could be clamped down on more harshly. Or to solve all the problems once and for all, we could just ban sex. New regulations could be introduced so you need a licence to 'do it' and even then only normal, sensible, unadventurous married couples are allowed to partake.

How dare you, i have just found out my friend is doing this and i think its a disgrace!! I totally disagree with it, people like us work hard 5 days a wekk earning our way and paying our way and theres people out there doing this and getting like 100 quid an hour for laying on their backs, i only say this site because you may have family members on there or friends and i think they need to be found out bcoase its a dangerous game and they need help!

So what you're saying is you're jealous of girls who can get 100 quid an hour for laying on their backs? I dunno what the problem is. You only have to watch that Secret Diary Of A Call Girl show on ITV to see what a fun and glamorous life it can be. There are some extreme cases where people are forced into it but for many it's a lifestyle choice - they can get good money for doing something they enjoy. SOme women would prefer to earn money this way than working in an office or shop.

Have to say, I agree with the idea of legalising brothels. In an ideal world the seedy vice industry wouldn't exist, but it does. That and prostitution are never going to go away. If it became legal, then at least the women (and men) who choose to do it would have rights and some protection, it would be easier to Police, and they'd pay tax and insurance on £millions worth of what are currently classed as 'immoral earnings'. You might not like it Sarah, but it's a fact of life I'm afraid.

Sarah I think you are not seeing the bigger picture, this is what happens all over the world and it is the oldest profession in the world, I dont agree with footballers earning £120k per week for pretty much doing nothing. Thats life and sex does sell... if you are safe you can earn a lot of money from it one thinks!

If you read the actual report this story is based on, you discover most of the "brothels" weren't brothels at all but the working flats or houses of indpependent sex workers working alone or with a maid employed by them.

I do appreciate that no one wants this kind of thing on their doorstep, but it is a sad fact of life that this is something that will always go on for whatever reason. Sarah I work in a run down London Borough where a young drug addict was offering oral sex to guys for two pound? This poor individual needs medical help a) for her addiction too drugs b) Protection from the drug dealers who hold her too ransom. If these are the people your trying to protect you have my full support? But please understand there are loads of women and men who sell sex to pay for University, keep their families from starving and because thwey enjoy the work. The drop in prices suggests that either fewer men are buying sex - lack of demand; or that more women are selling sex (or being sold) - excess supply. Like most Poppy Project / Eaves Housing work the report is a conflation of genuine research undermined by the interposing of assertions unsupported by any evidence. One suspects that sub-editing is dismissed as being too patriarchal for the wimmin's movement. The one truly shocking and disturbing item in the report is to be found at page 10 in amongst what is entitled Myth and Reality. The 'myth' posed is '“Disabled men, who might not be able to find a sexual partner, have a right to the services of prostituted women.”' and the supposed reality is: 'Sex is not an entitlement, nor a ‘human right’. There are many ways in which anyone can enjoy consensual sex. Specialist dating services, meet-up groups, and online networks which link up disabled people are thriving.' So Raspberries should stick to shagging thier own sort, should they? Perhaps blacks and jews should be kept away from our white women as well.

Comments like Laura’s and Johns are what cause trouble , they are obviously narrow minded people who hide behind their pc's, My best friends are travellers , real romany gypsies who have morals and old fashioned ways and bring their children up the right way, the people causing trouble on this message board have not been bought up properly as they would not offend people like this and they have no idea what they are talking about and have big opinions when they are sitting behind their computer, I am very surprised the News Shopper allows this abuse to be posted as this is racism. [/quote] Sorry Rose - but most Travelers are SCUM 9 so they are not ROMANYS - I know a ROMANY family in Shropshire and they live a peaceful existence moving around never causing problems. The MAJORITY of the travelers in the south east are SCUM - like the ones in West Wickham presently. So in the case of Travelers its the MAJORITY giving the MINORITY a bad name - FACT - ASk anyone who has had to put up with these people living nearby or trespassing on their land.

Most of these girls are drug addicts or have drink problems and sell sex to feed theit habits. Or worse they sell sex to feed their partners hbits. I think there should be legal brothels where the girls receive regular health checks, HIV and STD testing. So we can get this off our streets, away from residential areas and away fom our children.
