A 20-YEAR-OLD Catford woman accused of causing the death of her newborn son must remain in prison custody ahead of her trial.

Leah Andrew, of Minard Road, Catford, fainted after giving evidence for six hours in a Crete courtroom, it has been reported.

Andrew, who has two other children, is charged with infanticide.

She is reported to have given birth in a hotel room in Malia on Monday.

It is understood a coroner found the child had died of asphyxiation.
