The roof of construction work underway in Bexley has collapsed and is now being fixed by contractors.
A resident told the News Shopper that the roof of construction underway to build seven new townhouses in Iverhurst Close near Danson Park collapsed due to strong winds over the weekend.
Bexley Council has confirmed that the collapse took place on Friday, March 8.
It has spoken to the contractor and the collapse is being addressed by them.
For this reason, the council has said that it has no concerns and no action from it is required.
A spokesperson for Bexley Council said: “We received no dangerous structure report.
“We have since spoken to the contractor.
“The collapse happened on Friday and is being actively addressed by them in an appropriate manner.
“We therefore have no present concerns in this regard and no action is required.”
